The Senior Solutions Architect is a strategic, client-facing technical leadership role at Anthropic Identity. You will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers — understanding their business objectives, assessing their current identity landscape, and designing end-to-end identity and access management (IAM) architectures across platforms including Auth0, Okta, Transmit Security, Descope, and others. This role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen, requiring you to lead discovery sessions, architect complex CIAM and Workforce Identity solutions, drive proofs of concept, and guide clients from strategy through production deployment.
Unlike a hands-on implementation consultant, the Senior Solutions Architect operates at the architecture and design layer — owning the technical vision for engagements and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with each client's long-term identity roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Solution Design
- Collaborate with enterprise clients to understand business objectives, technical challenges, security requirements, and compliance needs
- Design and present tailored IAM solution architectures spanning customer identity (CIAM), workforce identity, and authorization
- Lead discovery sessions, whiteboarding workshops, and technical deep dives with client stakeholders at all levels
- Assess existing identity environments and develop modernization roadmaps — including migration strategies from legacy platforms to modern solutions
- Technical Leadership & Enablement
- Architect solutions across multiple identity platforms (Auth0, Okta, Transmit Security, Descope, and similar technologies)
- Drive proofs of concept (POCs), pilot deployments, projects and architecture reviews to validate proposed solutions
- Apply deep expertise in identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, FIDO2, LDAP) and security patterns (MFA, passwordless, adaptive authentication, zero trust)
- Provide architectural guidance on application integration patterns, SDK usage, custom connector development, and identity lifecycle management
- Collaboration & Internal Impact
- Mentor and guide consultants and engineers across the practice on architecture best practices and platform capabilities
- Act as a conduit between client needs and internal teams, ensuring feedback informs delivery methodology and tooling improvements
- Collaborate with vendor partner teams (Okta, Auth0, Transmit, Descope) on co-sell motions, technical enablement, and roadmap alignment
- Contribute to Anthropic Identity's intellectual property — reference architectures, accelerators, delivery playbooks, and reusable assets
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in identity & access management, solution architecture, or a related technical leadership role
- Deep expertise in Customer Identity (CIAM) and/or Workforce Identity platforms such as Auth0, Okta, Transmit Security, Descope, or similar
- Strong command of identity protocols and standards: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, FIDO2, LDAP, WS-Federation
- Hands-on familiarity with APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling for identity integrations (JavaScript/Node.js, Java, C#, Python, or similar)
- Understanding of core application security concerns (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, CSRF)
- Strong presentation and whiteboarding skills — comfortable leading workshops with C-suite, security teams, and engineering teams alike
- Experience with enterprise identity lifecycle management, provisioning, and governance processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a consulting, professional services, or post-sales architecture role within the identity space
- Familiarity with fine-grained authorization models (OpenFGA, RBAC, ReBAC/ABAC patterns)
- Experience leading migration strategies from legacy identity platforms (AD, Ping, ForgeRock, custom-built systems) to modern cloud-native solutions
- Knowledge of industry-specific compliance frameworks and how they impact identity architecture (healthcare, financial services, government)
- Experience building or contributing to reusable delivery assets, reference architectures, or implementation accelerators
